Armagh To Host Minor Qualifying Cup Final
On Saturday the Mall has the honour of hosting the Final of the
Flannigan, Edwards and Bannon sponsored Minor Qualifying Cup,
where Ballymena Fourth XI takes on local outfit Laurelvale Third XI. A
close contest is sure to be in store as both sides try to claim the coveted
piece of silverware. The competition is currently held between Cliftonville
and Cregagh Third XI’s as last years final was abandoned, although
Armagh are still technically holders as the double winners in the 2005
season never got an opportunity to defend their prize. Saturday’s final
starts at midday, and will be umpired by Brian Blakely and Sylvan Reid.
